John1:14-18
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[a] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.Jesus Christ full of grace and truth.15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " 16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,[b][c]who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
What is Law? laws are rules that guides you to the goal, to keep you in track. an analogy: If you drive on a highway, the Laws are the curbs and lines on your lane.
what is grace? something that is lack in the law. Grace does not exist in laws. laws have no mercy or grace. It is rigid and strict.
what is truth? Truth is something beyond "right or wrong". It is not something that we can argue or change. It is non negotiable. It is TRUTH. An analogy for truth : truth is like an accurate map that tells you where is your destination, how to get to it and showing you the routes to your destination.
When Christ came He gave us grace which is something that the law lack of. Something that is so important that we Christians are living by God's grace day by day. He gives grace and forgives our sins. And He gave us Truth... Truth brings meaning to the laws... just as maps or road signs gives meaning to the road, truth gives meaning to the law. If you drive and you ever got lost you are like a driver without a map, a destination in your mind.. you will just drive along the road without any purpose. same as life. laws are like the guides and lanes in the path of life, if you do not know the truth, you will just simple follow all these guides and lanes without a meaning.
just a little thought of the day.
